The Chinese experience for a small town Indian girl
Going to China, teaching there, in a University sounded like a distant dream for a small town girl like me. I am not the best nor the worst, I am quite average. My friends could easily agree on that. The only difference, maybe, my hopelessly optimistic mind and the courage to take my chances.
Why is it important ? I asked myself this question many times before I could actually think of one. That is precisely why I procrastinated for a year and a half before blogging about it. The reason being, I have something to share, an experience, my view about living in China and also the most important part, to answer some my friend's questions.
I felt it would be crude injustice to my experience, if each time someone asked me about China, I paraphrased into amazing experience. So there has to be some thing more legit to justify my own experience. It was extremely uncomfortable at first because I am a very private person so it takes even more courage to post something personal.
It won't be an exaggeration to say my Mom actually pushed me into it. I got my courage and justification as and when I started writing about it. The entire process of getting the work permit to necessary documents to finally flying and the relocating is what I intend to draft here in the following weeks.
Maybe even some of the travelling experiences will be a part of this narration. Along with all the fun and frolic pictures, l have decided to document even my failed attempts, for your reference. I am strong believer that 'failures are the greatest teacher.'
There were times when I reached such a blockade I had no idea how to get help. It struck me that I may not be the only one in the situation. Like a true millennial I used search engines but most of the information was limited and couldn't have been applied in my case.
So therefore, starting, next blog I intend to make a series of blog which I have decided to call "My China Dairies".
If you have any questions I would be happy to address them. You can leave your comments and questions down below. I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge and reply as early as possible.
Stay tuned!
